President" at the meeting of February 3rd 1915.
No further meetings were recorded in the Minute Book until November 3rd 1919.
when the name was changed to :-

From "The Homecraft Magazine"  September 1st 1925.
THOSE CALL SIGNALS IN CODE
No doubt there are many amateurs with valve sets who hear voice & music, but do not know where they come from, because the call signs given are not letters, but words.
For example, supposing the station used the expression "3 Cork Beer here" , few listeners would, unless they knew the following code, interpret it as 3CB.
A large number of letters in the alphabet sound very much alike over the telephone    for example
 P, B, C,D,E, G & T.
Although "P for Percy" or "C for Charlie" is a good
way to distinguish them, a quicker method is to alter the sound of the individual letters, making no two rhyme.
Below is the alphabet written in this code :-
  ACK   BEER   CORK   DON   EDDIE    F    G    H    INK    JUG    K   L   EMMA       N    O    PI P  QUOD    R    ESSES    TOC    U    VIC    W    X     Y    ZED.
From "The Western Wireless"

   THE AMATEUR WIRELESS EXHIBITION.

Pronounced by all to be an unqualified success, and confidently
predicted to have a stimulating effect on wireless endeavour.
