e n t al Licences.
1. According to CM 612/13, the Department desires a list of
experimenters in Wireless in South Australia with a view of
checking unauthorised practices and collecting the Annual
Licence Fees.
2. To obtain a complete list of such experimenters, the
Letter
carriers
were instructed to report thrrough their PostMasters
the existance of any Wireless masts in their districts giving
the names of owners where ascertained , and the locality.
3. This has now been done, and a list of experimental stations with
names of owners is attached.
4. I recommend asking the PostMasters to supply the full names
of owners where such has not already been done, and forward the
complete list to the Secretary.

MEMORANDUM to:
Deputy PostMaster General,
Adelaide.
G.4348/16 - Experimental Wireless Stations.
With refernce to my memorandum of 10th May 1916, number & subject
as above, I am to inform you the following is an extract from a
communication
recently received from the Secretary to the Department of the Navy -
pending the passing of neccessary statutory rule governing the issue of
licences, temporary permits have been issued to applicants for the use
of Wireless
apparatus for experimental purposes. This arrangement is wholly
tentative, and will
be superceded by the regular issue of licences at an early date.
It is proposed that when such licenses are issued, to furnish the names
and addresses for the information of the respective PostMasters, when
it is hoped any irregularly erected aerials which may come to the
notice of Letter Carriers and others
will be duly reported to this Office. Meanwhile it is requested
that no action be taken
with respect to the various aerials being erected.
Please note and arrange accordingly: reports to be forwarded to the
Senior Naval Officer in your
state.

addition or substitution is reasonably
