Any club that has been active for decades
is expected to have a rich history and activities. Many of these
activities can be associated with the core business of the club but may
not be well know. WARG for example has been involved in many field days and expeditions to find new repeater sites. These activities require large amounts of time and produced mixed results. Some times repeater sites were established due to the work done by these early expeditions, and some times disappointment, that expansion of the repeater network did not take place, even though the sites found showed great promise. WARG's portable repeater VK6REE was an important part of these early expeditions and was fully set up with duplexer. This page is devoted to past expeditions and what was found at many sites that have never been used. Scroll Down
