Born 12 February 1829 in South Ronaldsay
Island in the Orkney's Scotland, at St. Margaret's Hope. He was the first child of George McGhie (2) and Jane McBeath. He was christened on February the 26th 1829. George immigrated to Australia, date unknown, and married Isabella McDonald at Moyston (Ararat) in Victoria on September 13 1858. |
